Variety characteristics

Rose Eden Rose is a climbing rose variety that lacks many thorns. They grow slowly, the stem is thick, the leaves are carved, rich green. The flower can reach 12 cm in diameter. It is so heavy that the leg bends down under the weight of the flower. On a branch, up to 9 buds most often bloom. It contains about 60 petals. The color can range from creamy pink to ivory at the beginning of the petal and pink at the end, due to the gradient. It blooms luxuriantly and profusely.

This variety of roses is good because it produces flowers constantly, after planting the bush blooms very abundantly. From the very ground to the end of the lashes, it is strewn with large peduncles. But in subsequent times, such an effect should not be expected. Although the splendor of the plant is given to the size of flowers. The bowls of flowers themselves look like old varieties, although this variety was derived from modern roses.

This variety is considered powerful, due to the fact that it develops for a long time and forms a green base. After all, it is not so easy to sustain 9 colors on one brush.

Important! The rose does not require pruning, as it needs strong and long branches.

It blooms later than its relatives, for the same reason. But, if Edenrose has endured the winter well, it has enough minerals and vitamins, moisture and sunlight, it will definitely delight the gardener with its lush flowering.

A variety of climbing roses, Eden Rose, is quite resistant against many diseases. It is developing well in central Russia. It can reach a height of 3.5 m. The rose does not have a strong aroma, only slightly perceptible, which is not at all expected when looking at a lush flower. The variety does not tolerate rain very well. During a downpour, the buds are absorbed in moisture and bend even more to the ground. If the rain period drags on, the lush color does not have time to dry out, as a result of which a decay process occurs, and the flowers begin to fade, never having time to fully open.

In prolonged warm weather, the bush blooms up to 3 times. In the shade, the buds may not fully bloom, in direct sunlight, the flower looks loose.

Note! The variety is not resistant to low air temperatures. It is recommended to cover the flower with agrofibre at the end of autumn.

Growing technique

Before planting, you need to decide on a place in the garden. The rose will grow well and develop in a sunny place where there are no winds and drafts. The soil must be moistened before planting, but water stagnation must not be allowed; for this, a layer of drainage is laid in the planting pit, which can consist of crushed stone, pebbles, small bricks.

You can create a drainage layer of expanded clay, you can purchase ready-made drainage in the form of vermiculite or agroperlite in specialized stores. The variety prefers soils with low acidity. With increased acidity, the earth can be mixed with slaked soda or wood ash. Groundwater should not pass close to the root system, as high humidity can provoke rotting processes in the roots.

It is recommended to make a planting hole 60 cm deep, its diameter should be about 70 cm. Such proportions are optimal for the root system to feel comfortable. Fertilizers are applied before planting the cuttings. Manure or humus is suitable as a mineral fertilizer. If necessary, you can add 150 grams of mineral dressing.

Before planting, it is recommended to hold the rose in a solution of water with any growth stimulant for several hours. During planting, you should pay attention to the fact that the roots are not bent, the neck should be below the surface of the ground at a distance of about 10 cm. After the seedling is covered with earth and lightly compacted, the soil in the root hole should be mulched.

In the second year, the plant needs careful care, especially for fertilizers. You will need to feed the plant about seven times, maintaining the interval between procedures from 14 to 21 days. Top dressing will look like this:

  • The first two will consist of chicken manure dissolved in water.
  • The second two dressings will be carried out with a universal fertilizer for roses. They are produced when the first buds appear.
  • Phosphorus-potassium dressing should be done no earlier than the middle of the flowering period. There should also be two in number.
  • The last feeding is done in preparation for the winter. It consists in sprinkling the plant with a solution of water with potassium sulfate.
