She became called by that name (using the exclamation "wow") after she received general recognition from amateurs who admired her amazing appearance.

Before breeding the variety, it was assumed that it would perform purely floristic functions, but the results obtained exceeded all expectations. Hybrid Tea Rose Wow quickly won the hearts of landscape designers and ordinary gardeners.

Growing (agricultural technology)

Choosing a landing site

The climbing rose of the Wow variety belongs to unpretentious plants, which even beginners in agricultural technology can breed.

To do this, first of all, you should choose the right landing place that meets the following requirements:

  • It should be well-ventilated and full of sunlight.
  • Strong drafts are unacceptable on it.
  • The planting zone of rose bushes should be located on a hill, which excludes the formation of moisture stagnation.

Important! It is not recommended to plant this variety in a place where roses of a different type previously grew.

The plant is not very demanding on the quality of the soil, however, it is desirable that it be sufficiently nutritious and have a slightly acidic reaction.

Planting roses

When starting to plant a flower, you should adhere to the following procedure:

  • First, a hole is pulled out, about 50 cm deep, at the bottom of which a drainage is set up based on fine gravel or crushed stone.
  • An earthen mound is poured on top of a mixture of humus (compost), soil and peat with the addition of mineral fertilizers.
  • Immediately before planting, the rose seedling is placed in water for about 5 hours, after which too weak shoots are removed from it.
  • Then the processed sprout is lowered into the pit, and its roots are evenly distributed over the area of the mound from the earthen mixture.
  • At the final stage of planting work, the seedling is covered with soil residues, which is then compacted and spilled abundantly.

Rose planting is traditionally organized in April or May, that is, by the time the earth is fully warmed up. In the fall, planting these flowers is also allowed, but this can be done a month before the arrival of frost.

Plant care

Systematic care of a rose is reduced to watering the bush, feeding the soil under it with simultaneous loosening, as well as decorative pruning of affected branches and preventing diseases.

Watering roses

The plant is watered with warm and settled water so often that the soil under it does not have time to dry out (about once a week). During the very hot season, the amount of watering is increased as needed. They are usually accompanied by loosening of the soil, providing free oxygen supply to the roots.

In the first year of the growing season, top dressing is not necessary, since the rose has enough fertilizers, which were laid down even during planting together with the soil mixture. Starting from the 2nd year of growth, with the arrival of spring, the flower is fed with nitrogen, which contributes to the development of its foliage and young shoots. In the summer, minerals and organics are added under the roses, ensuring its lush flowering. With the onset of autumn bad weather, rose bushes are fertilized with potassium-phosphorus compounds, which means they are prepared for wintering.

General pruning of rose bushes is organized in early spring, when dried and diseased shoots are removed from them. In the summer, a preventive trimming is carried out, and in the fall it is time for a seasonal haircut (in order to prepare for the winter). Common pests such as aphids force gardeners to take certain protective measures, which are reduced to spraying the bushes with mild chemicals.
