Description and main characteristics of the variety
This cucumber is vigorous and medium-growing, belongs to the indeterminate varieties. On all lashes, only female flowers grow, so the plant is self-pollinated.
Especially often Adam cucumbers are grown in the middle lane, in Siberia and the Urals, because this hybrid is early ripening - less than two months pass from the moment the first sprouts appear to harvest.
Since the main and side lashes can grow endlessly, their tops are pinched at a height of about 1.6-1.9 m. Bushes require mandatory tying to trellises or other supports. After pinching the main lash, side shoots begin to actively grow.

Zelentsy - gherkin type, the size of the fruits is approximately the same, 10-12 cm in length, weight - about 85 g. Fruits are cylindrical, with slightly noticeable ribbing. The skin is covered with small tubercles with small spines, slightly pubescent. Skin color - dark emerald, dense, crispy. The taste of the pulp is sweetish, slightly crunchy. Ripe fruits are devoid of bitterness. One of the main nuances in the development of fruits is the extended period of their ripening.
The seeds are small and are not felt when eaten fresh. They are unsuitable for further planting.
Other advantages of this vegetable are high yield (up to 8-8.5 kg per 1 m2), good transportability. The harvested crop can transfer transportation over long distances without losing its presentation and taste.

The Adam cucumbers are good for barrel and compost pits cultivation without the need for special shrub formation. The foliage of this vegetable is less than medium in size, so the fruits are well illuminated by the sun's rays and blown by a light breeze, they are easy to pick as they ripen.

Growing and caring for Adam cucumber
Planting the seeds of these cucumbers is possible directly in the ground, but in the middle lane and regions with a similar climate, it is advisable to pre-grow seedlings at home.
Pre-treatment of purchased seeds is not required, as this has already been done by the manufacturer of the seed.But before sowing, the seeds should be soaked to peck. In regions with a cool climate, the seeds must undergo a hardening procedure, for this they are placed in the refrigerator for 24 hours before planting.

For seedlings, seeds are planted one by one in peat pots, in which the seedlings are then planted in a permanent place in the garden. Before the emergence of mass seedlings emergence, the temperature in the room should be kept in the region of 25-26⸰С.
Transplanting seedlings into open ground is carried out when the soil warms up to 17 ° C to a depth of more than 10-12 cm, and the threat of spring cold snaps has passed.
When growing seedlings, you should feed the seedlings a couple of times with nitrofosky or other complex mineral fertilizer, and 7-10 days before transplanting the plants to a permanent place, you need to start hardening. When planting seedlings in open ground, the distance between plants should be at least 30 cm, and the distance between rows should be at least 70 cm.
