It is difficult to imagine a summer table without fresh crispy greens. Cucumbers are an irreplaceable product for a salad, and what wonderful preparations for the winter are obtained from this vegetable! One of the favorite varieties is Mamluk F1. But these cucumbers have gained fame as rather finicky plants that require constant attention and proper care. Even in the warm regions of our country, in order to get a large harvest of greenhouses, they are grown in greenhouses. And even more so, residents of the northern regions of Russia cannot do without greenhouses.

Nowadays, a huge number of cucumber seeds have appeared on the markets - hybrids capable of self-pollination, so it will not be difficult even for a novice gardener to grow a plant and get a good harvest in a greenhouse. These types of cucumbers include Mamluk F1, it does not require the presence of insects in the greenhouse.

Description

Mamluk f1 is the brainchild of the Gavrish seed company and the Research Institute of Greenhouse Vegetable Growing. The hybrid is recommended for growing in greenhouses and greenhouses.

Mamluk cucumber

Mamluk cucumber is well adapted to a small amount of light, so it can be grown not only in summer, but also in winter. Heated greenhouses are ideal for growing crops in the winter. And in the hot season, cucumbers feel good in the open field.

Characteristics and features of the variety

The Mamluk cucumber crop belongs to early maturing varieties, since the first harvest appears within a month and a half after planting. Great for double crop rotation. Cucumbers can be sown in the spring for the first time and in the summer for the second time. Thus, a double harvest can be harvested in one summer. Each bush bears fruit for an average of 1.5-2 months.

Note! Mamluk is a self-pollinated variety, so it is perfect for growing in greenhouses and greenhouses or outdoors. It grows well on windowsills in apartments.

Features of the hybrid:

  • fruits begin to ripen 45 days after the appearance of the first leaves;
  • the length of the cucumber is 10-15 cm, and the diameter is 3 cm;
  • weight a little over 100 grams;
  • the yield reaches 12-13 kg per square meter;
  • the height of the vines can reach 2.5 meters.

The variety is quite resistant to many diseases. It tolerates non-critical drops in air temperature well.

The vines of the hybrid are impressive in size, the main trunk grows especially well.

Note! Lianas of the presented variety require compulsory molding, since their growth is unlimited.

Fruit

Pimpled cucumbers about 15 cm long are considered the most suitable for both winter preparations and fresh salads. The bright green color of the green will attract attention in the market or in the vegetable section of the store. The hybrid has no bitterness at all, so it can be eaten whole without leaving the "bottom". A distinctive feature of this variety is its ability to long-term storage and transportation. Thanks to this property, the vegetable is perfect for industrial cultivation.

Features of cultivation

The cultivation methods of the Mamluk hybrid are not much different from the cultivation methods of other varieties.

To get a good harvest of Mamluk cucumbers, you need to take seeds and put them in the moons prepared in advance at an angle of 45 degrees. The depth of planting seeds is no more than 3 cm. Due to this position of the seeds, the sprouts will break through to the surface of the earth in the shortest possible time.

The best time to plant seeds is the end of April and the beginning of May, since by this time the soil warms up to the required temperature, which is 12 ° C. Cucumbers must be tied to trellises.

The technological process of growing a hybrid in heated greenhouses has its own characteristics. Seeds for growing seedlings begin to be sown at the end of December, and in February the grown seedlings are planted in a heated greenhouse. For quick and friendly germination of cucumber seeds, they need an air temperature of at least 25 ° C. With the appearance of the first leaves, the temperature is lowered to 20-22 ° C and round-the-clock lighting is provided for one week.

Drip irrigation scheme

The relative humidity in the seedling room should not exceed 75%.

You need to plant cucumbers at a distance of 50 cm from each other, tying each of them to the trellis.

Note! It is important to provide cucumbers with proper care from the earliest stage of development. To do this, you just need to monitor the temperature of the air and water intended for irrigation. Exposure to low temperatures on the ovaries can lead to their death.

Another feature of the cultivation of Mamluk F1 cucumber is the need for the correct formation of the bush. It is formed into one trunk, despite the small number of formed ovaries. The four bottom leaves are cut completely together with the ovaries. Further, only one ovary and one leaf are left.

Note! The root system of the presented hybrid is quite powerful, so the soil under it must be constantly loosened. This will provide oxygen to the roots, allowing the plant to develop and grow properly.

There is also a seedless method of sowing seeds, that is, the seed must be planted directly into the prepared bed. Before sowing, the seeds must be soaked in a growth stimulant solution. The soaking time depends on the type of solution, in any case it will not exceed 24 hours. The seeds can then be planted. The main rule of planting cucumbers directly on the garden bed is that the soil on it must warm up thoroughly. And this usually happens in late May or early June. In addition, at this time, the risk of frost is reduced to zero. Only in this case, the hybrid will delight the gardener with fast and friendly shoots.

Seedless sowing method

During the ripening of fruits, the daytime air temperature should not be lower than 25 ° C, and the nighttime 18 ° C.

You need to water the cucumber crop regularly and quite abundantly, only with warm water.
