This variety was developed in Holland. Interestingly, it is included in the State Register of Varieties as strawberries. The variety was registered in 2002 and was recommended for cultivation in the southern regions of the Russian Federation. First of all, here we are talking about the North Caucasus and the Far East. However, in practice, they try to use this variety practically throughout the entire territory of Russia.

The variety is late maturing. The harvest ripens in July and August. Its bushes are tall, the foliage grows densely, the shape is compact. The strawberry leaves are slightly bent along their center line, the leaf plates are at a slight angle to each other. Their color is bright green, the surface is very wrinkled.

The flesh at the edge has a scarlet color, in the center it changes to medium pink. The peel of the berries is glossy in appearance, it is dotted with a large number of small, slightly drowned seeds. They are distinguished by their elasticity. Most fruits weigh 13-15 grams. However, there are very large fruits - up to 160 grams.

Bogotá strawberries grow best in black soil. When choosing a place for planting, you need to take into account that the plant loves good sunlight. It is important that there are no strong cold winds here.
If the soil on the existing plot is non-chernozem, then it must be processed before planting strawberries. To do this, you need to dig up the soil two weeks before planting. Before that, you need to pour two buckets of compost or humus for each square meter of land. In this case, you need to add one and a half tablespoons of superphosphate and the same amount of potassium sulfate to this area.
The plant is planted in beds, the distance between which must be at least 60 centimeters. The distance between plants along the bed is usually 35 centimeters. The bushes are planted in a hole, the depth of which is 20 centimeters.
