How did the Riddle variety appear

This variety was first seen in the Transnistrian Research Institute of Agriculture. It was never brought to the State Register, but seeds are on sale quite often.

Characteristic

Tomato Riddle ripens to maturity in 82-88 days. It is a stunted and determinate variety. A characteristic feature of this variety is that it almost does not produce stepchildren. It grows well in places accessible to sunlight, but it also tolerates its absence quite easily, growing in shaded areas. The tomato is not picky about care. During transportation, the fruits remain intact and not damaged, thanks to the strong skin.

Tomato Riddle

Important information! Tomato fruits can be preserved longer if they are arranged with their tails down.

Tomato bush variety Zagadka has powerful and strong trunks and grows about 50 cm in the garden, and in a greenhouse it can reach a height of 60 cm. It has a compact shape. The first brush grows above 5-6 leaves, about 5 fruits are tied on it.

Tomatoes Riddle of Nature are bright red in color and rounded. The weight of the fruit, which is grown in the garden, is about 90 g, and in the greenhouse the weight of the vegetable reaches 115 g. The pulp of this tomato tastes good, fleshy. Tomato yield of this variety is 22 kg from 1 sq.m.

Growing tomatoes

When the seeds are purchased from a reputable manufacturer, there is no need for additional preparation before sowing. The Tomato Riddle of Nature is planted in a garden bed or greenhouse, preferably by a seedling method. Seedlings are grown like this:

Seedling tomato

  • A container of small height with fertile soil is being prepared. After it is sufficiently moistened, several grooves are made parallel to each other. The distance between them should be 2-4 cm;
  • Tomato seeds are placed in each row, after 2 cm.It is not worth planting more often, since then when planting it will be inconvenient to take plants and some of them can be damaged. Then the seeds are sprinkled with earth;
  • The container must be closed either with plastic wrap, always transparent, or with glass and placed in a dark place;
  • After the seeds germinate, and this will happen in 5-6 days, the container is exposed to light;
  • A pick is carried out after the appearance of two leaves and each sprout is seated in a separate place, container or glass.

The grown seedlings need hardening, about two weeks before planting on the site. This is achieved by periodically removing it to fresh air. The first time should be no longer than a few minutes, then the duration of the "walk" is gradually increased, and just before planting, the seedlings are left in the air for a whole day. Seedlings are planted in warm weather, when there is no longer night frosts, or their probability is minimal.

Important! You need to transport the seedlings carefully so as not to damage the sprouts. The sprouts should not lie on their sides.

Planting seedlings in the ground

It is better to plant seedlings on a cloudy day or in the late afternoon, overnight the plant will get stronger.To make it easier to remove the sprouts from the glass or container, you need to slightly moisten the water in them. Then the roots will not be damaged.

Planting scheme for tomato varieties The riddle involves 6 or 8 bushes per square meter so that the tomatoes cannot interfere with each other. A spacing of 80 cm will be the best option. About a liter of water is poured under each planted bush.

Next to each planted seedling, a peg, about half a meter in height, is dug in for further tying the stem, in which you should not use synthetic threads so as not to damage the stem itself.

Important information! A week after planting tomatoes Riddle of Nature, you do not need to water. After two weeks, they need to be spud.

Under the film in the garden

If it is not too warm outside the window, then planting tomatoes The Riddle can be covered with a film. In this case, the shoots are also protected from drying out and take root better. Use conventional film or agrofiber. The latter is durable, reliable and protects plants from wind and direct sunlight.

Watering

A natural miracle tomato is watered directly under the root, it is impossible for the water to fall on the stem and leaves. Watering is best done in the evening. During this time, the water is better absorbed and less evaporated. It is not worth watering strongly and often until the fruit is set, it is necessary that the earth simply does not dry out.

Watering tomatoes

Do not pour tomatoes on the leaves!

Additional Information. A good way to water is with a drip system. This will allow each plant to be watered at the root without touching the leaves and stem.

When the fruits begin to set, abundant watering is required every 4-6 days. The rapid drying of the soil can be slowed down by mulching with straw or hay.

Top dressing

It is highly desirable for the entire season of tomato ripening. Riddle to fertilize the soil 3 to 5 times. It is important to do this on time and do not exceed the dosage.

Two weeks after planting, the plants are fertilized with ammonium nitrate at the rate of 20 g per 10 liters of water.
