The grinding level and the size of the feed pieces are set using different rotational speeds of the shafts with knives.

Hammer has a number of advantages over rotary. The grinding quality is much higher, it is achieved thanks to a completely different operating principle. Due to the fact that the processing is carried out with hammers, the grains are crushed into a finer fraction. The plus is that with the help of a special grate, ground grains are selected. Insufficiently processed are automatically sent for further grinding.

Rotary grain crusher

The impact crusher has a simpler working principle. The tools are knives that cut the grains to the required fraction. The feed is harder, with lower processing quality.

The rotary machine is more powerful. It takes much less time to work, in contrast to the hammer, which requires a long time period. On the plus side, it is cheaper to maintain and cheaper due to its simple design.

The advantages of the hammer are the higher quality of the compound feed, and the ability to set its level, selecting it separately for each group of animals.
