Hyundai snow blowers have already gained wide popularity around the world. The Korean brand produces its equipment in many countries of the world, including Russia.

Features of Hyundai snow blowers

The Hyundai snow blower is available in gasoline and electric. It has proven itself well in the market - the device itself is quite compact, it can easily cope even with wet snow, it is not afraid of low temperatures, there are no errors in engine operation.

Among the many advantages of these snow blowers are the following:

  • Compactness... The light weight of the small machines makes it easy to carry and transport snow removal equipment.
  • Ease of use. Elementary control that does not require complex actions and manipulations.
  • Variety of models... A wide range of models from handcrafted to professional allows you to choose a model that suits your taste and your pocket.
  • Adaptable to harsh weather conditions. They start up and work without complaints even at -40˚С.
  • Quality. For the manufacture of machines, only high-quality, branded parts and materials are used.

Hyundai snow blower classification

The Hyundai snow blower can be produced in three types - electric shovels, gasoline snow blowers and electric ones.

Electro-shovels are a device that looks like an ordinary garden shovel. Consists of a handle and a small box with a built-in snow-throwing motor.

Virtually no noise, power is supplied from the outlet. Most models have a telescopic handle that adapts to any hand.

Important! Suitable only for cleaning low snowdrifts (15 to 25 cm high). It weighs about 7 kg. A medium power shovel throws snow 3 to 4 meters forward. Higher power shovels throw snow up to 6 meters.

Its motor power can vary from 1100 to 1800 W. There are models of an electric shovel with a plastic auger for dropping snow - this allows the shovel to work on absolutely any surfaces without damaging either the surface or the shovel.

For the production of electropaths, aluminum is used, which makes them lightweight and at the same time resistant to damage. This provides the shovels with a long service life.

Such a shovel is not intended for cleaning ice and caked snow.

Note! A significant drawback of an electropath is that it reacts to the slightest changes in fluctuations in the electrical network. This can cause interruptions in work. Due to vibrations, the electric shovel can quickly fail.

Hyundai petrol snow blowers

The Hyundai petrol snow blower consists of a control unit, a fuel tank, a wheel drive. There is also a handle, a bucket that shovels snow, a reinforced polyurethane auger that chews the snow, making it fluffier, and a trough made of very durable plastic that takes snow to the side. It can be self-propelled and non-self-propelled.

Non-self-propelled snow blowers are equipped with a medium power motor. Therefore, high drifts of more than 50 cm can be a serious obstacle for such snow blowers. It is advised to clean the snow regularly, not to wait for the snowdrifts to collect.

Self-propelled models move along a trajectory independently at a certain speed, no human effort is required. You just need to control the movement. Some models are equipped with a track chain to help clear uneven ground and slopes.

By weight, all snow blower models are divided into three categories - light, medium, heavy. The weight of light models does not exceed 55 kg. Medium models are considered to be those whose weight varies from 60 to 80 kg. Heavy - those that weigh about 90 kg. The heavier the car, the more powerful it is.

Depending on the technical indicators, among the models, one can distinguish those that are capable of throwing snow over long and medium distances (from 6 to 15 m).

Note! Among the main differences between self-propelled models, one can single out the presence of one or several augers, the type of movement (caterpillar or wheels), the presence or absence of headlights (for working in the dark).

The power of a petrol snow blower is determined by its engine. Machines with engines up to 3.5 liters are considered not very powerful, but these are quite enough for cleaning small areas. But where the area for snow removal is decent, you will need powerful snowplows with engines of 9 liters or more.

Of course, the size of the snow blower working area is important. On small areas with snow, an aggregate with a working width of 30-50 cm will cope. But a vast surface, for example, a football field, an ice rink, will take a long time to clean with a device with such a width. On large objects, it is recommended to use snow blowers with a grip of 50 to 100 cm.

Additional Information! Fuel tank capacity is one of the most important metrics for gasoline powered snow blowers. The volume of fuel that is burned during continuous operation of the device ranges from 1.6 to 6 liters. A small tank will run out of fuel quickly, in just 2 (or less) hours. The large tank will allow the unit to work non-stop for about 3 hours.

Hyundai Electric Snow Blower

Such machines are also self-propelled and controlled.

Electric snow blowers are much cheaper than gasoline ones. This will definitely attract buyers. But the fact that such a machine is completely dependent on the voltage in the network cannot but grieve.

But electric snow blowers also have a lot of advantages:

  • Ease. Low weight provides mobility and minimum effort in work.
  • There are no problems with fuel freezing in the cold.
  • The electricity costs for running a snow blower are much lower than those for a gasoline powered device.

Hyundai Electric Snow Blower

Compared to gasoline powered snow blowers, electric ones do not require much maintenance. It is enough to change the auger drive belt only once a year as a preventive measure.

Rubberized augers are another big plus. Most models are already equipped with these augers. This keeps paving stones or other types of surfaces intact.

Note! Some types of electric snow blowers have a built-in loss of control system. When control is lost, the system shuts down the device and prevents it from starting on its own.

However, the disadvantages of electric cars are still present:

  • Often the machine does not have enough power to clear packed snow or ice.
  • The electric motor heats up quickly. To avoid overheating, it is recommended to take a break every 30 minutes.
  • The need to lay an extension cord or the presence of an outlet in the immediate vicinity.

At the moment, there are various options for snowblowers on the market, buyers can only choose the most suitable for them in terms of characteristics.
